Having or setting up a security protection on your computer is the best way to protect you from hackers. However, all security system always have a weakness and hackers are usually good at finding that weakness and hack into your computer. No matter how great you think your computer security system is, it is not 100% sure that your computer is secure.

Here is some practice basic steps after being hack:
- Isolate Your Computer (unplug all network cable and turn off W-Fi connection)
- Shutdown and remove the hard drive and connect it to another computer as a non-bootable drive
- Scan your drive for infection and malware
- Backup your important files from the previously infected drive
- Move your drive back to your PC
- Completely wipe your old hard drive (repartition, and format)
- Reload the operating system from trusted media and install updates
- Reinstall anti-virus, anti-spyware, and other security software prior to any other programs.
- Scan your data backup disks for viruses before your copy them back to your computer
- Make a complete backup of your system
