Things Need To Do After Being Hack

Having or setting up a security protection on your computer is the best way to protect you from hackers.  However, all security system always have a weakness and hackers are usually good at finding that weakness and hack into your computer. No matter how great you think your computer security system is, it is not 100% sure that your computer is secure.

So, what if you have been hack? What should you do?

Here is some practice basic steps after being hack:
  1. Isolate Your Computer (unplug all network cable and  turn off W-Fi connection)
  2. Shutdown and remove the hard drive and connect it to another computer as a non-bootable drive
  3.  Scan your drive for infection and malware
  4.  Backup your important files from the previously infected drive
  5. Move your drive back to your PC
  6. Completely wipe your old hard drive (repartition, and format)
  7.  Reload the operating system from trusted media and install updates
  8.  Reinstall anti-virus, anti-spyware, and other security software prior to any other programs.
  9.  Scan your data backup disks for viruses before your copy them back to your computer
  10.  Make a complete backup of your system
