Do you have a Mac OS? A Mac OS is a very powerful system and most popular on their security system. The internet is always full of scammer and hacker who are trying to steal your information. It is why it's important to have a secure computer systems. There are built-in security feature in the Mac OS that you can go and set it up as to your preference.

Here are some basic tips that will make your Mac OS more secure:

  1. Enabling the firewall: When firewall is enable, it will block all the unwanted incoming network connections. You have to enable the firewall feature manually because most of the time it not enable in your Mac OS 
  2. Disable automatic login: Always enforce password to login to your computer systems or any accounts. Do not use automatic login because you are basically giving your information if they have your computer systems.   
  3. Enable Mac App Store and identified developers: This will allow you to download apps that Apple think is safe and secure. It is a good for apps that are scammer that trying to stole your information. 
  4. Turn on FileVault: This feature allow you to encrypt all the files in your user account. It is a save and secure way to secure your files. To decrypt them, use either your account password or the recovery key created when you switch File Vault on.
  5. Safari Privacy Setting: If you are using Safari in your Mac OS, the safari privacy setting in your Mac OS will allow you to enable for always block cookies and website data and enable for website not to track you.
